What do I need to know about easi-cash?

To be eligible, you need to be at least 18 years old and a permanent resident of New Zealand.

You will need your identification and some details of your income and expenses.

Payments can be made weekly, fortnightly or monthly to suit you. Direct debit is recommended but there are some other options we can talk to you about.

All re-payments are quoted on flexible terms between 12 and 48 months. Goods owned by you may be required to be used as security and could be at risk if there is a default on repayments.

A pre-payment fee may be payable if the loan is repaid earlier than the original contract date.

What are our products and services?

This disclosure statement relates to financial adviser services that we offer to retail customers in relation to our easi-cash loans.

What you can expect from our QFE services?

dtr’s QFE status is limited to offering retail customers advice about easi-cash loans and other products it may from time to time offer. dtr is responsible for all financial advice provided by its staff about its products. Staff who provide you with advice are known as ‘QFE advisers’. This means they can only give you advice about dtr’s products. This includes details that are written in your agreement with dtr.

How to make and resolve a complaint about our advice

If you have a complaint, please email or phone us to tell us what it is. We will promptly confirm that we have received your complaint and will investigate and make every effort to help.

However, if you are not happy with the outcome, you may wish to contact the independent disputes resolution scheme that dtr has engaged.

What it means to say we are a QFE?

dtr is licensed and regulated by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) for our financial services. You can get information about financial advisers from the FMA and report information about Thorn to the FMA.

The Privacy Act is designed to ensure companies only use your personal information for the reasons that you give it to them

I acknowledge that Thorn Group Financial Services Limited trading as dtr is asking for personal information. That information may be used by dtr, its related entities, successors, assigns, agents, associates for the purposes of determining whether or not to provide me with credit, collecting payments (including offers of new products or invitations to participate in competitions), and conducting market research.

The information we collect and hold would include, but is not limited to, details of income, assets and liabilities, employment history, credit history and contact details. As part of this process, dtr may also get information from, and give information to third parties. These parties include financial service providers, credit reporting agencies, government agencies, referees, employers (both past and present), owners, occupiers or neighbours of any premises reasonably believed to be my current or recent address.

I acknowledge that I have the right to access, and request the correction of, any personal information about me held by dtr.
